Piclits: Take a look at Rm23 blog: http://qps-room23.blogspot.com/.

The children have each made their own Piclit. I had them go through the school Del.ic.ous site. User: queenstownprimary - Password: qps4429120. Once loged on the children found the Piclits link and made their Piclit. It was the process I wanted them to learn and to get to know the school Del.ic.ous site.

Once made, the children clicked on the blog share link,

* copied the embed code,

* opened the class blog

* signed in using the class address and password

* edited posting in hmtl

* paste

* publish post.

VoiceThread: See the VoiceThreads on http://qps-room23.blogspot.com/.

I found photos would not load directly from any computer so I uploaded the photos onto Flicker and then loaded them from there onto VoiceThread. Really easy!

This is a free programme for PC only.  It reads back what has been written.  Within my writing programme I have used it with New Entrant and Year 3 but I have shared this with secondary teachers and ESOL teachers too.

Writing Programme:

Drafting

The children draft their stories onto the programme.  They listen to what they have written.

Publish

Their work cannot be saved into the programme.  The free version of this programme has limited capabilities but is enough for classroom use. 

Control A to highlight - Control C to copy.

Open a word document.  The Big W

Control V to paste.

Spelling mistakes will have a red line under them.  Right click on them and a list of correct words will appear.  The children pick the one they want to use.

Grammar - green line:  Right click and the grammar correction will appear.
